Chint Power Systems CPS ES-2MW/4MWh is a containerized LFP storage system supplied as an AC block. It provides 4.1799 MWh nominal energy, about a 2-hour duration, and 2.08995 MW rated DC power. The unit uses 314 Ah prismatic cells with liquid cooling or forced air cooling.
Use Cases
Use in front of the meter is consistent with the specifications of Chint Power Systems CPS ES-2MW/4MWh. Its nominal energy is in the utility-scale size class. It connects at medium voltage, 12.47 kV, and ships as a block of 2 containers.
Capabilities
The shortest listed configuration, 2 h, makes Chint Power Systems CPS ES-2MW/4MWh a candidate for capacity value, being counted on as supply when the network is tight. An AC block with the inverter included points to renewable colocation, storing output from a wind or solar plant on the same site. The specifications suggest peak shaving, discharging into the hours of highest demand. That configuration indicates grid services, work that helps keep the electricity network running.

Plant Round-Trip Efficiency
The calculator estimates the full "plant" round-trip efficiency (RTE) at the point of interconnection. Some values are pre-blocked depending on information on a particular ESS. The rows that are marked "each way" are one-way efficiencies; they are applied on charge and again on discharge. We then square them. To enter a bundled PCS efficiency value, use its rated-power value, not peak. If the PCS skid already includes the LV/MV transformer, set Transformer LV/MV to 100 % so those losses are not counted twice.
Site Space Required
Shared: one 3 m aisle serves both neighbours. Dedicated: each unit keeps its own 3 m, so gaps double to 6 m.
Single unit — matches the stored area_sqm convention.
